RUBYstar - High-Performance Time-Resolved Fluorescence Microplate Reader

The RUBYstar microplate reader enables highly sensitive time-resolved fluorescence detection by applying europium chelate or cryptate fluorophores. These compounds are excited with the high-energy laser and show long fluorescence lifetimes (several hundred microseconds), large Stoke's shifts and intensive fluorescence peak profiles at 620 nm. Therefore with the RUBYstar, backgrounds are reduced and the signal-to-noise ratio is increased, so giving maximum sensitivity.

The RUBYstar time-resolved fluorescence microplate reader can be used for both assay development and high throughput screening for a wide range of applications e.g. biomolecular interactions, receptor binding assays and molecular biological applications. In order to run BMG LABTECH instruments, you also need a personal computer with WindowsTM operating system (7/Vista/Win 2000/XP). Easy export to MS ExcelTM 2007/2003/2000/XP is possible.
