The dedicated DLReady® certified microplate luminometer LUMIstar OPTIMA provides ultra high sensitive reading of flash and glow luminescence assays in end-point, kinetic and multiple wavelength mode. The extended dynamic range (> 8 orders of magnitude) of the luminometer is based on the combination of BMG LABTECH's Digital Photon Integration (DPI) technology and the automatic Gain calculation. According to individual requirements of the user, the LUMIstar OPTIMA is entirely upgradeable to FLUOstar OPTIMA or POLARstar OPTIMA, with additional detection modes. This unique feature allows the user to upgrade the LUMIstar OPTIMA to a powerful multidetection microplate reader.
All benefits at a glance:
• Onboard "smart" injectors dispense reagents and initiate kinetic events
• Versatile kinetic software features for flash- and glow-type reactions
• Real-time kinetic monitoring
• Built-in filter wheel for measurement at eight distinct wavelengths
• Simultaneous dual emission detection for BRET is possible
• Upgradeable to FLUOstar OPTIMA or POLARstar OPTIMA
• Top and bottom reading
• "QuickStart" mode allows users to read plates with just 3 mouse clicks
• Impressive well scanning feature allows cell-based assays to be performed with ease
• Expanded temperature control up to 60°C
• Stacker and robot compatibility
The LUMIstar OPTIMA microplate luminometer is designed for the widest possible range of applications based on luminescence labels:
• Reporter gene assays luciferase, dual luciferase, BRET, ß-galactosidase, gene activities with luminescence enzyme substrates (e.g. luminol, acridinium esters, dioxetanes, etc.)
• Luminescent immunoassays
• Cell-based assays (e.g. cytotoxity and cell proliferation, intracellular Ca2+ with aequorin)
• ATP assays for sterility monitoring
• GUS assays (ß-glucuronidase)
• ROS (reactive oxygen species)
• Enzyme activity assays
• Nucleic acid detection (PCR quantification)
