About the webinar
Have you ever wondered what all the settings available on your microplate reader actually mean? How can they influence measurement data and results? Find out this and more in this webinar! Don´t just use the available settings because “that´s the way it´s always been done”! Learn how to meaningfully optimise your microplate reader measurements to best meet your assay requirements. We explain all common parameters, how they can influence the measurement results and how they can be used for measurement optimisation.
What will you learn in this webinar:
- Which parameters are available on a microplate reader and how do they impact the data output?
- How do wrongly set parameters influence measurement results?
- How can I optimise reader settings to improve data quality?
Speaker
Dr Ann-Cathrin Volz
Ann-Cathrin Volz works as Application Specialist for BMG LABTECH with specific focus on cell-based assays. After her graduation in Nutritional Sciences at the University of Hohenheim, Germany she completed her PhD and a Postdoc in the field of Tissue Engineering. In her position, she can draw on her experience in cell culture and related microplate-based assays to support customers in assay optimisation for existing and emerging applications.
Dr Martin Mangold
Martin Mangold also works as an Application Specialist for BMG LABTECH. During his doctoral studies in Pharmaceutical Chemistry he screened for specific inhibitors of enzymatic activity. He now uses this knowledge to support BMG LABTECH customers in optimising their results and to help them with application-related questions.
