We invite you all backstage and introduce the people behind our microplate readers. Today: He enjoys traveling around the country to fix customers´ technical issues. Meet kickboxing enthusiast Florian.

My name is Florian and I work as service technician at headquarters in Ortenberg. My job however entails some travelling as my duty is to support our customers in Germany and Switzerland, whenever they have technical issues. My background is in mechatronics. Before joining BMG LABTECH, I worked for a pipeline company, assembling gas counters.

What does your job entail?  

Quite some travelling, always a different task and work environment, meeting a lot of different people and at last a quite autonomous work. 

What is a typical day like? 

Days are different, there is no typical day. During some weeks you visit several cities and places. 

Favourite memorable moment from work/BMG?

During my second day of work, I was tested positive for COVID!  I was off for one week. What a bad timing!

What do you like most about your job?

The travelling, discovering the big cities, meeting all kinds of people and getting a little insight into all kinds of companies, starting from small developing teams up to the global players of the industry.
