At our headquarters in Ortenberg, Baden-Württemberg, we develop, manufacture, and distribute high-quality analytical instruments (microplate readers) for pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical research.
To strengthen our team, we are looking for a full-time:
Field Service Technician
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Install, maintain, and repair lab instrumentation at both customer sites and our Cary depot
- Provide onsite and remote technical support for instruments and software

Troubleshoot hardware and software issues quickly and effectively

Document service activities in line with company procedures

Consult with customers on service plans and software updates

Support product demos, installs, and onboarding with the sales team

Share customer feedback and service insights with technical teams

Travel regionally and occasionally nationally for training or team support
QUALIFICATIONS

Education & Experience: Relevant technical service experience and general troubleshooting practices, required

Bachelor or Associate degree in engineering, electronics, or related field, required

Ability to travel regionally and nationally, required

Valid driver’s license, required

Prior experience with lab equipment, required

Prior experience with microplate readers, preferred
Skills & Abilities:
We are looking for someone who is comfortable working independently in various customer labs and can manage their own schedule. An ideal candidate would have strong problem-solving and technical troubleshooting skills who can adapt to customer service needs.
