Growing up and undergrad in Arkansas, professional work and graduate school in NYC, post graduate work in Boston
What did you do before working for BMG LABTECH?
I worked as a Field Application Specialist/Scientist for different companies. I also did SPR, bioinformatics, and pharmaceutical manufacturing.
How long have you been with BMG LABTECH?
I joined BMG in January 2024.
What does your job entail?
I work closely with customers to get their service needs taken care of, such as preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairing readers as needed.
What is a typical day like?
Going onsite at the customers lab for scheduled service. That can entail coming for investigation after an email, or for scheduled preventative maintenance.
Favourite memorable moment from work/BMG LABTECH?
The first time completing a very extensive repair and it being successful, along with the customers reaction.
What’s a common question you get from customers?
If the software is Windows 11 compatible, or general useability tips for the readers.
What do you like most about your job?
I like most meeting new people and visiting different labs across Boston. I like getting critical readers back online after an issue and keeping readers running at peak performance.

Finding out how to get paid well as a barista because I love making coffee

Doctor, but when that didn’t work out, I’m pretty sure it was for the best because I like having a life
What drives you every day?
Toyota, the distances in New England are typically too great otherwise

Don’t take life too seriously
