Due to continued business growth this scientific equipment specialist is seeking an exceptional Regional Sales Professional to join our team.

Based in the Southwest of England you will be taking over a growing territory with an active pipeline and, as a member of our established and experienced sales team, will receive full product training and support from our Head of Sales & Marketing, Customer Service, Applications and Service Teams.

You will:

  • Be responsible and accountable for generating sales of products and services against an annual target for the territory.
  • Build and maintain business relationships with existing and potential customers across a range of organisations, including academia, biotechnology and pharmaceutical.
  • Support lead generation by actively prospecting with existing and new customers and contacts; follow-up and qualify promptly new leads and potential opportunities.
  • Keep the CRM system updated for both customer records and in the active management of sales leads and opportunities for the purposes of forecasting instrument unit sales and accompanying revenue.
  • Maintain detailed knowledge of our products and services, including pricing and positioning versus competitors.
  • Support - and on occasion, provide - customer demonstrations, support product installations and customer training, and represent the company at scientific conferences, trade shows and exhibitions.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for customers both pre-sales and post-sales.
  • Actively feedback and present market information, competitor activity, and commercial opportunities, including potential sales strategies and promotions to the Head of Sales and Marketing and your sales colleagues.

The ideal candidate must have:

  • A life sciences degree
  • Customer-facing, customer-centric sales experience
  • The ability to work with a range of Microsoft software applications, including SharePoint; Excel; Word; Teams; PowerPoint
  • Excellent Verbal and written communication
  • Good time management skills
