"The SPECTROstar Nano plate reader will be primarily used as a workhorse for at least three assays in the laboratory to study the Heparin – Receptor interaction. 1) The Carbazole assay which is read at A535 measures the amount of glucuronic acid in samples and quantifies hyaluronan, heparin, and chondroitin. 2) The Bradford protein assay (A595) measures protein for quantification in cell based and analytical assays. 3) The ELISA‐like assay (A420) uses alkaline phosphatase substrates for ligand‐binding and immunodetection. A wide variety of biochemical and enzymatic‐based assays will be measured by the absorbance reader."
