Jürgen Haas

We invite you all backstage and introduce the people behind our microplate readers. Today: He adapts technology to fit the requirements of the market. Introducing optic development engineer Jürgen.

Hello, this is Jürgen. I was born in a small village in the middle of the Black Forest. When I was a little kid, I wanted to become an electrical engineer… and guess what? Actually, I did! I studied electro engineering at the polytechnic.

I have been part of the R&D team at headquarters since 2001. Before that, I developed electronic devices for the optical measurement of distances and colour recognition.

Nowadays, at BMG LABTECH´s headquarters, my duties encompass optic development and the assessment of optical measuring devices. Since my duties cover the whole product development, from conception up to full-scale production, I don´t really have a typical daily routine. This is great because I never get bored and every day brings something new. This is also what I like the most about my job!
