Biotechnology Instrumentation Technical Support Coordinator (m/w/d)

BMG LABTECH Inc., a pioneer in molecular biology and life science detection instrumentation, seeks an enthusiastic professional to join our national service team as a Biotechnology Instrumentation Technical Support Coordinator. As a market leader experiencing rapid growth, we are looking for an individual to bolster our expanding service department. This role is based in Cary, North Carolina.

 

Role Overview:

In this role, you will be the initial point of contact for customer inquiries. Collaborating closely with both external customers and internal BMG LABTECH teams, you will be pivotal in maintaining our high-quality service standards. Your responsibilities will encompass:
 
  • Responding to customer service inquiries.
  • Ensuring customer satisfaction by conducting post-service follow-ups.
  • Coordinating technical requests with the field service team, including parts shipment, software provisioning, report adjustments, and customer follow-ups.
  • Overseeing parts and equipment inventory management.
  • Developing systems to maintain organization of the service depot and warehouse.
  • Verifying product quality through established and developed processes before instrumentation or parts shipment.
  • Managing instrument shipping and receiving utilizing cloud-based software.
  • Leveraging Salesforce CRM to pursue existing service opportunities.
  • Generating invoices based on service activity.
  • Assisting field technicians in identifying new opportunities to help customers through our CRM.

Your Strengths:

  • Exceptional organizational skills.
  • Adept at multitasking and project management.
  • Proficient written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proficiency using CRMs such as Salesforce or equivalent.
  • Clear and engaging phone communication.
  • Familiarity with Accounts Receivable functions.
  • Bonus: Background in finance and bookkeeping.
  • Profound troubleshooting capabilities.
  • Generating invoices based on service activity.
  • Meticulous note-taking and record-keeping habits.

  • Preferably, a bachelor's degree or relevant experience in technical customer service; administration skills or training are advantageous.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States and proof of COVID vaccination.
  • Ability to work full-time in an office environment.
  • Capability to independently lift up to 50 lbs. and collaborate in lifting up to 150 lbs.
