Using this technology, the user will be able to select any wavelength and any bandwidth, up to 100 nm, for both excitation and emission in their assay. The question then becomes: 'What wavelength and bandwidth are best for my assay?'

Within the CLARIOstar control software is an integrated fluorophore library. Using this, you can select the fluorescent dye that you are using and see the recommended wavelengths and bandwidths for that fluorophore. Bear in mind that these were generally defined based on filters, so the bandwidth employed may not be ideal. Rather, the best available within the limitations of available filters.

If you choose you can select these settings, or make adjustments and optimize performance. With the CLARIOstar you finally have the freedom to choose: ANY wavelength, ANY bandwidth, ANY assay.
