Video Training Series: Data Analysis: DNA 260 / 280 Concentration

This video from BMG LABTECH shows how to perform various result calculations from an executed DNA measurement (as shown in the video “DNA 260 / 280 Absorbance Reading“). Several DNA solutions at unknown concentrations were measured in the FLUOstar Omega microplate reader and UV spectra were recorded in a defined wavelength range for each well. Results, such as DNA concentrations and DNA 260 / 280 ratios for purity check were calculated with the Data Analysis Software MARS automatically by assigning a predefined template to the raw data. Furthermore, threshold values are visualized by color codes and a standard curve calculation is shown as well as the possibility to export the values to Excel.
