Well organized, versatile, easy to use and powerful are just a few of the ways to describe the data analysis software package (MARS) used by our reader line. MARS allows the user to display and process the data using powerful predefined templates or using an extensive range of data calculation features.
The data analysis package includes the ability to display raw data, blank corrected data, averages, ratio calculations and many more. Sheets are provided to display signal plots, spectrum graphs and standard curves. The software is also capable of creating standard curves based on the following curve fitting algorithm to calculate i.e. EC50, IC50, r2 values:
The MARS standard curve wizard creates an easy step-by-step calculation of a standard curve. |

MARS provides many calculation and analysing functions such as:
Templates in MARS are a powerful tool to transfer settings, performed calculations and even the result of a standard curve fit to other test runs. In combination with test run protocols, you can get a quick result and report of your performed test without any manual action in MARS needed. Individual buttons can be created for up to six templates, giving the possibility to change quickly between different views for one test run. The software comes with a set of predefined templates matching to the predefined protocols for the readers’ control software. It is possible to use these templates to see how they work. The data can be displayed microplate based or table based. A data export to excel is done with one button click only. The test run manager helps you organize your performed measurements with powerful sort order and filter functionality. The layout contents of your measured test run can be changed afterwards with MARS.
The control software offers an easy to understand straight
forward user interface.
The BMG LABTECH software line
incorporates a quick
start feature that allows an endpoint
analysis of a plate
with no prior training or expertise. |

BMG LABTECH’s Reader Control and MARS Data Analysis Software are included with each instrument purchase. BMG LABTECH software is license-free, which means it can be used on an infinite number of computers. No need to occupy valuable instrumentation time when data analysis can be performed on any computer at no additional charge.
BMG LABTECH continuously updates its Reader Control and MARS Data Analysis Software to include new software developments and new features, which are mostly user driven. Software upgrades are free of charge while the instrument is still under warranty or they can be purchased at a reasonable price. Click here to see if your instrument has the most recent software. Contact your local BMG LABTECH representative for software updates. In order to run BMG LABTECH instruments, you also need a personal computer with WindowsTM operating system (7/Vista/Win 2000/XP). Easy export to MS ExcelTM 2007/2003/2000/XP is possible. In 2007 BMG LABTECH released its new Data Analysis Software, MARS. All data from MARS is easily exported to any version of Excel. However, BMG LABTECH’s previous version of evaluation software is not compatible with Excel 2007. Contact your local BMG LABTECH representative to find out more about MARS.
