Growth of Campylobacter using BMG LABTECH's
FLUOstar Omega equipped with ACU
SureFire Assay Principle Point Growth of Microaerophiles using Campylobacter as a model
Point Independent Oxygen and Carbon Dioxide regulation allows for optimal growth conditions for different cell types
Point Comparison of growth in a traditional environmentally controlled test tube incubator to 96 well plates in a FLUOstar Omega with ACU

Growth of the fastidious microorganism Campylobacter jejuni was monitored using a FLUOstar Omega microplate reader equipped with the Atmospheric Control Unit (ACU). With the ACU it was possible to independently control the oxygen to 7% and the carbon dioxide to 10 %. Growth curves obtained in 96-well microplates were comparable to conventional growth measurements where samples are taken and measured in cuvettes.
